Parlay math is multiplicative

Combined odds are the product of each leg's decimal odds. Three −110 legs aren't a 3× return — they're 1.91 × 1.91 × 1.91 ≈ +596 American. The catch: vig compounds with every leg. A 4.5% per-leg market becomes ~13.6% combined hold on a 3-leg parlay. Books love them because retail bettors treat every leg as independent when in reality the parlay's break-even win rate is much higher than people estimate. The only way to print money on parlays is correlated legs (SGPs) or finding +EV legs your individual books are mispricing.
